Ever since we received the first email from Leah and Sam about the New Year’s Eve wedding at Zorgvliet Winery in Stellebosch we just knew, just felt that we wanted to be a part. In an impersonal email, it is so hard to pick up on nuances and get a feel of someone’s being…but somehow Leah and Sam projected an effervescence, a spark, a glowing quality…and we were instantly hooked on telling their story.
Leah grew up in South Africa but emigrated with her family to New York, where she met Sam. It was obviously meant to be: Their energy together is tangible. Their love for each other is beautiful to see. Their care for their families are friends very evident in speeches and shows of affection. It was truly an honour to be part of their rehearsal dinner and wedding in Cape Town…and as many of the Americans at the wedding confirmed: Cape Town really is better than Napa!
I think that we will have to see for ourselves - anyone getting married in the Napa Valley soon? ESTILO is available to shoot the wedding! ;)
